Artist's Description
The city of Calgary is located in the Southern Alberta between Edmonton and Medicine Hat. It has many vibrant communities and a mixed of modern and historical architectures. Art is big in the city from music to dance, museums and galleries, movie film to prints.
There are many form of art that can be seen while driving around. The city recently initiated a commissioned art in the form of painting and photography to local artists to cover utility boxes and some massive public art installations that costs over half a million dollars that are often a topic of controversy.
This arches of George C. King bridge is one of the newest art installation at Saint Patrick's island park. I captured this image at night to show the vibrancy of the ambiance.
