BATAD RICE TERRACES IN THE ISLAND OF LUZON PHILIPPINES IS THE LOCATION OF THOUSANDS OF MAN- MADE RICE TERRACES CARVED ON THE MOUNTAIN BY THE EARLY INHABITANTS TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO, IT HAS A UNIQUE IRRIGATION SYSTEM WHERE THE SPRING FROM THE HIGH ELEVATION CASCADING DOWN THROUGH EACH PADDIES. THE TRADITION SYSTEM OF FARMING IS STILL PRACTICE TODAY BY THE VILLAGERS.
